Wheel Chair Project
Non-Resident Nepali Association, Switzerland is the Swiss National Coordination Council
(NCC) of Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). It is committed to address NRN issues
within Nepalese Diaspora in Switzerland, and it aims to be a platform for the Nepalese and
friends of Nepal in dealing with Nepal related issues.

• Physical disability is the most common disability in Nepal (28%)
• Lower extremity disability is the most common physical disability,
limiting the mobility of the disabled
• Wheel Chair Project will provide wheel chairs to the needy physically
disabled children of Nepal

225 CHF = one wheel chair, which provides the freedom of mobility to a
disabled child and enables him/her to go to school.

Koirala named 2010 CNN Hero of the Year

Chief of Maiti Nepal, Anuradha Koirala, who along with her dynamic team, has rescued more than 12,000 women and girls from sex slavery has been named the 2010 CNN Hero of the Year, Saturday. The Nepal government has started issuing identity cards to Non-resident Nepalis (NRNs) from Monday.
